Your indexer - run your way

01

Run it yourself

SubQuery is open-source and designed to be easy to run, meaning you have the freedom to run it locally on your own computer (or a cloud provider of your choosing). There are two ways to run a project locally, using Docker or running the individual components using NodeJS services.

How does the SubQuery indexer work?

SubQuery is designed to make building your own custom API for your web3 project as easy and painless as possible. It just takes three steps
01
Initialise
Run subql init to create a new project from hundreds of different example templates, or autogenerate code from your own EVM ABIs or Cosmos Protobufs.
02
Build
All you need to do is edit three files, your GraphQL schema definition, your project manifest, and finally the mappings for your ETL pipelines.
03
Query
Run yarn dev to spin up a Docker container with your project (or deploy to our Network) and start querying against your indexed data via GraphQL.
