SubQuery Announces Data Indexing Support For Neutron

Today, we are excited to announce SubQuery's integration with Neutron, a cross-chain CosmWasm platform, interchain-secured by the Cosmos Hub. SubQuery's indexing support will empower developers building on Neutron to effortlessly index and query their deployed smart contracts.

Neutron, harnessed by the robust Tendermint technology and constructed using the versatile Cosmos SDK, stands as the pinnacle of secure, permissionless smart contract platforms within the realm of Interchain DeFi. With its powerful capabilities, Neutron empowers developers to seamlessly deploy smart contracts while also providing essential tools for interoperability with a diverse array of protocols and app chains.

This collaboration opens up opportunities for developers to seamlessly index and query smart contracts on Neutron using SubQuery's advanced indexing capabilities. By joining forces, we aim to enhance the developer experience and foster innovation within the Neutron ecosystem. Moreover, developers leveraging SubQuery on Neutron gain a distinct advantage, as they can tap into cutting-edge Interchain technology with minimal overhead, allowing seamless querying, transacting, and managing accounts in remote zones directly from Neutron.

“We're thrilled to have SubQuery’s support, as a leading data indexer for web3 projects. Their fast, reliable, and decentralised APIs were long awaited by developers in the ecosystem and will allow decentralised applications to leverage the full potential of smart contracts on Neutron. We can't wait to see builders leverage SubQuery’s products.”
— Avril Dutheil, CEO, Hadron Labs

As part of this integration, SubQuery has released an example project that indexes all airdrop claims on the Neutron network. This integration showcases the power of SubQuery in indexing real-world on-chain data for production applications and serves as an excellent starting point for developers looking to build their own Neutron applications using SubQuery. You can see the example project here.

“We are proud to announce our strategic partnership with Neutron, the most secure CosmWasm platform on Cosmos. Neutron's permissionless architecture and interchain prowess make it the perfect fit for DeFi. With SubQuery's  fast, flexible, and open indexing solution, Neutron developers will be empowered to create exciting applications

Why Use SubQuery?

SubQuery is the leading Indexer in Tendermint-based networks with deep support for the Wasm smart contract layer (used by Neutron). Neutron developers can now enjoy superior indexing capabilities offered by SubQuery, including access to the open-source SDK, comprehensive tools, extensive documentation, and dedicated developer support within the SubQuery ecosystem. Neutron is also fully supported by SubQuery's enterprise-level managed service,  ensuring robust infrastructure hosting and handling hundreds of millions of daily requests.

Our experience with customers across all verticals in Ethereum, Polygon, Polkadot, Cosmos, Algorand, NEAR, and Avalanche (such as wallets, networks, explorers, NFT, DeFi, scanners, etc.) has helped us build the best Indexer for developers in web3.

SubQuery is actively working towards decentralising and tokenizing the protocol to establish the SubQuery Network. This network will provide incentivized and verifiable indexing and data servicing to the global community, supporting indexing of projects from Neutron and other supported Layer-1 blockchains. By integrating Neutron projects into the SubQuery Network, we aim to enhance data accessibility, incentivize collaboration, and drive innovation within the Neutron ecosystem and other Layer-1 networks.

Getting Started with SubQuery and Neutron

The best way is to start by following our step-by-step guide using a real-world example project. Follow our quick start tutorial to see how to index all airdrop claims on the Neutron Network in about 15 minutes.

With SubQuery’s Neutron integration, there are four types of mapping handlers:

  • BlockHandler: This runs a mapping function for each and every block
  • TransactionHandler: Captures all transactions and their hash, height, and timestamp
  • MessageHandler: On each and every message that matches optional filter criteria, run a mapping function
  • EventHandlers: On each and every event that matches optional filter criteria, run a mapping function

We’ve updated the SubQuery Documentation to add neutron-specific information to the general SubQuery documentation.

SubQuery’s Support for Neutron

The integration of Neutron with SubQuery is now live and available for production use by projects within the network. We are actively collaborating with a select group of customers to test and optimise this integration. If you are interested in becoming a Neutron launch partner with SubQuery, please don't hesitate to contact us at sales@subquery.network.
